Below are our service terms and conditions. Please note we reserve the right to update these terms and conditions periodically without prior notice.
Terms and Conditions
Inventory List
An inventory list is a critical aspect of moving. To determine the inventory list, You need to send us clear video(s)/ images of Your apartment containing the items You plan to move. In certain moves (such as an inter-state move/ office move), a physical inspection may be required to determine the inventory list.
You must inform us of any changes You make to the inventory list after our team has compiled the list and sent the invoice based on that list. This is required to ensure the appropriate resources (team strength, truck size etc.) are allocated/ sent/ reserved for Your move. All changes must be written either via email or direct messaging.
Please note that only items in the inventory list will be moved. Additional items may require additional payment.
Firearms, Explosives and Valuables
Firearms and Explosives
We do not move firearms of any kind and potentially dangerous, damaging or explosive items.
Valuables
The following items are excluded from our moving service contract. If we move them, we do not accept any responsibility for loss or damage:
- Precious stones, coins, jewellery, money, deeds, securities, stamps, or goods or collections of a similar kind.
- Items that attract or cause pest infestations or vermin attacks.
- All animals: includes pets, such as dogs, cats, birds or fish (and their cages or tanks).
Packing and Wrapping
We recommend that all items are packaged and wrapped to ensure the safety of Your items when moving, using the appropriate packaging materials. If You insist on no packaging material or no wrapping, we will not be liable for any scratches or damages that may occur during the moving process.
Uninstallation and Installation Services
We will not carry out any uninstallation or installation service not included in the invoice. However, we uninstall and install beds with lift-up bed hooks.
The installation of window blinds and hanging items on the wall are not included in our carpentry service. The purchase of an installation kit (pipes, cables, trunks, gas etc.) is not included in our electrical installation services. Such services can be carried out but will attract an additional fee.
Arrival Time
Please note that all times given are estimated and may vary by 30 minutes or more. Your patience in this regard is highly appreciated. However, we will ensure that we arrive early to start our service.
Payment
Please note that the invoice sent is for carrying out the required service. We will require a minimum of 80% of the invoice price in advance to reserve our services for the date booked. We will request that the balance (20%) of the total is paid in full immediately upon completion of the service. All payments are paid via transfer to our designated account on the invoice.
For Withholding Tax (WHT), You are required to send the evidence of payment between 1 to 3 months after the completion of the service to our email address.
Estate Fees and Dues
Ensure all estate fees and dues at the pick-up, and drop-off locations are paid before the moving date to prevent delays. We will not be responsible for the payment of estate fees and dues. Delays may attract an additional fee.
Moving
We do not make stops during the move unless agreed to in writing. Additional stops, which are not the pick-up or drop-off address, may attract an additional fee.
If the stairs, doorways, and lifts are inadequate for moving items, the premise is not accessible for our trucks; unless otherwise stated in writing before the invoice was sent; these circumstances will attract an additional fee not included in the invoice.
In situations You and/or Your relatives, friends, etc. help our movers to load and/or unload the truck, we shall not be held responsible either for the moving quality, losses and/or damages which can occur during the move.
If the move is not finished by 5 pm or is estimated to be completed after 5 pm, we reserve the right to lock the truck, move it to a secured parking lot and resume the move the next day after 8 am. It is your responsibility to pay for such “Secured Parking”. You will also pay for the transportation to the Secured Parking and from the Secured Parking to the drop-off location. You will also pay for truck demurrage.
If Your move takes more than one day and was not stated in writing before the invoice was sent, a separate invoice will be sent for every additional day. In such a situation, You will be required to pay the invoice before the start of each day.
Right of Refusal
We reserve the right not to service You under conditions that, at our sole discretion, we consider dangerous, fraudulent, unsanitary, or abusive. In the event we exercise this right, we will not be liable to You or any other entity for direct or consequential damages.
Revision of storage charges
We review our storage charges periodically. You will be given 30 days’ notice in writing of any increase.
Our right to dispose of or sell your items
If payment of our charges relating to storing Your items is in arrears, and on giving You a month’s notice, We are entitled to require You to remove Your items from Our storage and pay all money due to Us. If You fail to pay all outstanding amounts due to Us, We may sell or dispose of some or all of Your items without further notice. The cost of the sale or disposal will be charged to You. The net proceeds will be credited to Your account; any eventual surplus will be paid to You without interest. If the total amount due is not received, We may seek to recover the outstanding balance.
Termination
If payments are up to date, We will not end this contract except by giving You two months’ notice in writing. If You wish to terminate Your storage contract, You must notify us with at least ten (10) working days’ notice. Your items can be released with prior notice, provided you have no outstanding payments.
